Meet your favorite wild animals in Rwanda, and Gorillas in Uganda. Enjoy a Kigali city tour including a visit to the genocide memorial, cultural attractions, museums, Mountain Kigali viewing and local markets for tasting local fruits or milk. You’ll also visit Akagera National Park for sighting wild animals, go Gorilla trekking in Uganda, and experience the culture of Rwanda. 

Day 1 Arrive Kigali.

 Arrival in Kigali: Welcomed by your tour guide and check-in at hotel.  After, start Kigali city tour and experience about Rwanda and the city during the pre-colonial period, colonial and post-colonial periods i.e. through independence, genocide period and current trends. This is done by visiting different sites in Kigali and its suburbs. You will basically visit the genocide memorial, Richard Kandt House, Campaign Against Genocide, Camp Kigali Memorial, Mt. Kigali Visit and horse ride & Zipline activities, a visit to the local market and ending the day.

Day 2 Kigali – Akagera National Park – Kigali

Departure to Akagera National Park at 5:00 am for checking up at the Park’s office at 7:00 am: Pick your guide for the full day game drive. Start witnessing your favorite animals in the park including zebras, giraffe, Impala, Topi, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Bushbuck, Sable Antelope, elephants among others. Overnight in Kigali.

Day 3 Kigali – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

The journey to Bwindi begins from your hotel; our guide will meet you and transfer you to Bwindi forest driving through either through Cyanika border post to southern Bwindi in Rushaga; or Begin from Kigali city and drive through Katuna border post to Ruhija in the northern sector of Bwindi national park. All this depends on the availability of gorilla permits in either sector of the park. Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma lodge/Bwindi lodge/ Gorilla Safari lodge (luxury) or sleep in Kabale for low budget with basic accommodations.

Day 4 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Gorilla Trekking)

Breakfast at 6:30 am and get ready for trekking. Ensure to carry out the rain jacket, drinking water, snacks and jungle boots. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain Gorillas, exercise that might take 2-7 hours. Overnight at your lodge/Guest house. 

Day 5 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Musanze

Early morning drive to Musanze for Buhanga Forest Visit. In the Afternoon you will visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village in Kinigi. Overnight at a Recommended Hotel in Musanze.

Day 6 Musanze – Twin Lakes – Depart Kigali

Morning drive to Burera and Ruhondo Twin Lakes to enjoy a fantastic nature walk around the lakes, bird watching, fishing and later a beautiful sundowner cruise while enjoying the outstanding view of the volcanoes with cold drinks and snacks. Later you will drive back to Kigali and transfer to the airport. You will have time to buy souvenirs at Kirenge Cultural Village and drive to Kigali International Airport

This package requires a minimum of 3 people at $2500 each. Budget include transport into a private car, accommodation, meals, parks entrance permits, bottled water during the safari and exclude tips to the driver, and other personal expenses.  Solo Travelers and other groups are assisted separately to customize the tour.
