Day 1 Transfer from Kigali to Nyungwe forest national park
Today, you will set off towards the famous Nyungwe Forest, one of the largest forests in East and Central Africa. The forest is abundant with flora and fauna including 13 primate species from colobus monkeys, mangabey, blue monkeys and, of course, our cousins the chimpanzees. Nyungwe Forest is also a famous location for birders. With about 310 recorded bird species, 26 of which are endemic, this is one of the most important – and still little known – bird-watching destinations in Africa.
On our way to Nyungwe, we head to Butare, also known as Huye, Rwanda’s second largest city, and its intellectual center.
Along the road to Butare, you will pay a visit to Nyanza; presently Nyabisindu, the former Mwami’s palace (King’s palace) and the base of the feudal kingdom.
Continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Chimpanzee trekking – Canopy Walk (Nyungwe National Park)
Today, after your early morning breakfast, you will leave your hotel for a chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe National Park Rwanda experience. Nyungwe forest is well known for having 13 species of primates and was transformed into a park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour stay on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch at the hotel.
After lunch you head to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk and return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Nyungwe National Park – Lake Kivu
After breakfast, hit the road to Kibuye in the beautiful lake resort of Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the greatest Lakes in Rwanda, and is in the Albertine (western) Rift valley, a part of the Great Rift Valleys. The lake is a 2650 Square kilometer freshwater expanse and the largest of all the lakes that fill the valleys of Rwanda. Spend the afternoon by the Lakeshores. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4 Explore Lake Kivu on a Boat ride
After breakfast at your hotel, you will head for a boat ride, which will give you a beautiful sea feel as you watch over to see local fishermen and a number of bird species at different corners of the lake, and later head for lunch. After lunch, spend the rest of the day refreshing and enjoying the sand on the beach.

Day 5 Transfer to Akagera National Park – Boat trip on Lake Ihema
After breakfast, you will transfer to Akagera National Park through Kigali. On arrival at the park, we shall proceed to our accommodation.
We order lunch and later take a boat trip on Lake Ihema to watch Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores.

Day 6 Full Day Game Drives in Akagera National Park
Enjoy early morning breakfast and start your game drives in an open-roofed vehicle. A full day game drive here offers you an opportunity to spot a variety of game including elephants, buffalos, hippos, lions, Masai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel’s zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard, and bushbuck, etc. Proceed for an evening game drive after lunch. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 7 Transfer from Akagera National Park to Kigali
In the morning, after breakfast at around 10 am, you will bid Akagera National Park farewell and return to Kigali Airport for your flight back home.
