Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes. It lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift. Lake Kivu empties into the Ruzizi River, which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika.
Volcanoes National Park lies in northwestern Rwanda and borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. The national park is known as a haven for the rare and endangered mountain gorilla and golden monkeys.
Day 1 Arrive Kigali and Travel to Ruhengeri.

Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel.
Day 2 Kigali – Volcanoes National Park.
Transfer to volcanoes national park after breakfast. The morning you must be at the office of RDB at 7:00 for a comment of the trekking of gorillas and briefing by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides. After you will have lunch at the Hotel then afternoon Visit of Twin lakes BURERA and RUHONDO. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3 Bisoke Hiking.
Have a second day Bisoke Volcano Hiking. We encourage for your own enjoyment to make sure that you are perfectly fit and healthy. It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves for protection against stinging nettles, some snacks & as well as sufficient water as the rain forest gets hot and humid during the day. You will spend 5 to 7Hours Climbing, but it is hours you will never forget. then after Return to your hotel for lunch and later proceeding Gisenyi dinner and overnight there.
Day 4 Lake Kivu.
After breakfast, you will have a morning boat ride on the lake. You will have a chance to see bird species and different water animals on the lake shore. Overnight at the Paradi Malahide/Ubum we hotel.
Day 5 Gisenyi – Kigali.
Pick up at your hotel driver to Kigali, have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi, contacts with local people for the discovery of artisanal products Collar, Bracelet, etc. then transfer towards Kigali airport.
